The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program is a nonprofit organization that serves children in Williamson County, Texas by training volunteers to become a "child's voice in court." CASA offers children the critical components of consistency and support, enhanced by the comfort of a long-term relationship.
CASA is hosting a new volunteer orientation session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 in the large conference room of the Community Resource Center in Georgetown.
Current CASA volunteers will be available to share their experiences with you. You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of a CASA/GAL volunteer and have an opportunity to ask questions.
Did you know that there are 587 children from Williamson County in the custody of the state of Texas? Our goal is to provide a CASA for every child who needs one. We are currently serving approximately 60 children with over 40 CASA volunteers. We can serve many more with your help.
