The City of Round Rock Community Development Advisory Commission (CDAC) invites you to listen, learn, and share in the conversation of our community needs.
The CDAC will hold two public meetings to discuss programs and projects that benefit low to moderate income residents in Round Rock.
The first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, will target the “Nonprofit’s Perspective.” The second meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1 will target “The People’s Perspective." Both of these meetings are official public hearings and both will be held at the Round Rock Public Library in Room C.
The CDAC wants to hear from service providers and citizens on how to utilize the Community Development Block Grant Funds for 2012-2013 Fiscal Year. Some of the issues to be considered include:
- Neighborhood Revitalization
- Housing Needs
- Public Transportation Services
- Social Services (job training, after-school programs, health services, youth and senior services, utility assistance)
The information gathered at the meetings will help guide the City regarding distribution of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and other city funds dedicated to supporting social services. The information that we hope to receive will ultimately be valuable to the participants, as well as to our community.
For additional information on these public hearings please call 512-341-3328. Translators will be available.
