Verizon Wireless presents a Smartphone Workshop from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Allen R. Baca Center.

The workshop should educate consumers on techniques that can help them get the most out of their smartphones. Topics covered include:

• Managing data usage
• Best applications to download for those on the go
• Ways a smartphone can streamline a busy schedule

Verizon will be collecting used cell phones for the HopeLine program which provides mobile phones to victims of domestic violence.

Refreshments will be provided.
