It's Community Helpers week at your library!

We're excited to welcome several pieces of large construction equipment, and the crews who know how to use them, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 9:30 - 11 a.m.

The helpers will visit with the kids and let the kids get a close-up look at a dump truck, a backhoe, and other big equipment parked behind the Library.

While you're here, also plan to visit a kid-friendly indoor session about poison saftey with a representative from the Poison Control Center. These sessions are at 9:30 am and 10:30 am in Room B.

Our Community Helpers schedule includes:

  • Monday, 8/27, 7 p.m.: Therapy Dogs
  • Tuesday, 8/28, 10:30 a.m.: Trash and Recycling crews and equipment
  • Wedesday, 8/29, 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Construction crews and equipment
  • Wednesday, 8/29, 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.: The Poison Control Center presents a special safety storytime for kids with poison safety information for parents.
  • Thursday, 8/30, 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.: Firefighters and equipment
  • Friday, 8/31, 10:30 a.m.: Firefighters and a fire truck

Most weeks, the Round Rock Public Library presents Storytime for ages 3 to 6 at 7:00 on Mondays, 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays. This reading activity is a fun combination of books, fingerplays, songs, and a short film for preschool children.

Most weeks, Toddlertime offers an active storytime session for ages 18 months - 3 years on Wedesdays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., and Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
