The 3rd Annual Chalk Walk will be held in downtown Round Rock on Oct. 5 and 6. Biscuit Brothers headlines Saturday’s activities.

Chalk artists, local musicians, visual artists, crafters, food vendors, and separate activity areas for adults and children are key features of this event. Confirmed musical acts include the seventeen piece “Monster Big Band,” young rock phenoms “Sound of Substance,” Austin favorites “Extreme Heat,” and swing musicians “The Copa Kings,” to name just a few.

The event is free.

An auction of creatively decorated chairs takes place on Saturday. This activity, “Take a Seat,” is open to anyone with a chair, a bit of imagination, and some time. An auction of the top chalk pieces will also be held late Saturday.

Key sponsors of the event include the City of Round Rock, Jerry’s Artarama, Community Impact, and Round Rock Arts. Proceeds from the event benefit visual and performing art programs in Round Rock.
