Have you noticed how many engaging children's books are available? Join the twice-monthly ARK group for a guided tour through children's literature. We will meet at 7 p.m. Monday on the following dates:
- Jan. 8
- Jan. 22
- Feb. 5
- Feb. 19
- March 5
- March 19
Janette Johnson, RRPL Children's Librarian, will cover the history of children’s literature in the first session. Then in each session the group will look at different types of books, beginning with wordless picture books, alphabet books, concept books, and progressing all the way through chapter books, genres and young adult literature.
Each participant will be asked to read at least one or two books per two week period. We will not all read the same book. Instead, each person will choose what to read from the books on hand at each session.
Whether you want to catch up on books you missed in your childhood, re-discover old favorites, or find new books to share with your children, ARK will have something for everyone!
