The public is invited to tour the new Williamson County Reginal Animal Shelter facility and celebrate its opening during a grand opening "shower" from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21.

The event is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.  Attendees are encouraged to bring items to welcome the animals to the new facility including donations of food, treats, pet toys that are safe and washable, non-clumping cat litter, towels, blankets, bath mats, toilet seat covers and cat beds.

The new facility is located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown.  To reach the shelter from IH-35, take Exit 259 and go east two miles.  The shelter is located on the north side of the road just east of FM 1460.
