You are invited to the grand opening of the state-of-the-art Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. The new shelter serves Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto and Williamson County.

All are asked to bring a donation of pet toys, treats, food or non-clumping cat litter as a shower gift for our "new arrivals!" Old blankets and towels are appreciated as well. There will be tours of the shelter, and refreshments will be served.

The new shelter is designed to make pet adoptions and volunteering a positive and pleasant experience for individuals and families.

The supports the participating agencies in their objectives to increase pet adoptions and lost pet reclaims; emphasize humane care for lost, unwanted or displaced pets; assist animal control public safety efforts by providing a safe space for stray and dangerous animals; and reduce costs for the partners through a shared, regional facility.
