Round Rock Reads
The votes are in - find out which book won the election! The lucky book will be the star of the summer and will be read and discussed by the whole community. Come to the party to learn more about the Round Rock Reads events scheduled through the summer.

Teen Room Grand Opening
The old Fire Engine Pumper room has been converted into a home for our teen patrons. The new room has the Young Adult (YA) and YA-Graphic Novel collections, Internet stations, a reading corner, and a PS2!  You'll hear more about teens-only essay and illustration contests, and have the chance to win a teens-only door prize.

2007 Summer Reading Program - Sail Away with Books!
This is the kick-off for a summer full of fun stories and events. Earn coupons & incentives by reading this summer!

  • All you need to get on board is a Round Rock Public Library Card and a Reading Passport. Get your Passport from the check out desk.
  • Then Bring your passport to the library between May 31 and August 6 to sign up for the best program for you!
    • BOOK COUNTING PROGRAM (25 books)
             For our youngest listeners and readers
             For those reading chapter books & more.
    • TEEN PROGRAM (5 hours) Ages 13-17
             For teens who read books, magazines, & more!
    • ADULT PROGRAM (5 hours)   Ages 18+
             For adults who read for leisure or who read to children

Scholastic Book Fair
It starts May 31, as part of our kick-off events, and will continue through June 7.

  • 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31
  • 9 a.m. to noon Friday, June 1
  • 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 4
  • 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 5
  • 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 6
  • 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 7
