Join the Round Rock Public Library and the Ballet Folklorico in celebrating Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1. Revelers are encouraged to dress appropriately for this activity.
Children’s activities include coloring calavera (skull) masks, making puppets and word puzzles, followed by a special performance by Round Rock Ballet Folklorico. Tamales, pan de muerto, and pan dulce (sweet bread) will be served.
No registration is required and the program is free.
Día de los Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday honoring the dead. This holiday is celebrated every year the same week as Halloween and the same days as the Christian holy days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day.
