A shelter cat rescue and foster meeting will be held at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter on Thursday, December 13, at 6 p.m. Any person interested in the welfare of the shelter cats and kittens is encouraged to come. This meeting is to discuss solutions and options available to the shelter population that would reduce the euthanasia rate in adoptable cats and kittens.
“We are very concerned about the number of cats that we receive at the shelter and are looking for creative solutions to this problem,” stated Animal Services Director Cheryl Schneider.
To reach the shelter from IH-35, take Exit 259 and go east two miles. The shelter is located on the north side of the road just east of FM 1460. For more information, call 943-3322.
