The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be hosting several volunteer orientation sessions on Saturday, March 29, 2008, beginning at 9 a.m.
Each orientation session will last two hours, and volunteers will learn about safety procedures and how the facility operates. Different positions are available to volunteers depending on the amount of time they are able to commit. The following positions are currently available: adoption assistant volunteer, lost and found volunteer, humane education volunteer, special event volunteer, public relations volunteer and some general volunteer areas.
The orientation sessions will be hosted at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop, Georgetown, in the community room located to the right of the shelter lobby. The orientations begin at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. To sign up, contact Linda Gunter at 512-943-3567.
