Round Rock the Boat Regatta
Does Your Cardboard Boat Float?
Time:   9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Cost: spectators free, boat registration (see rates)

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department presents the Round Rock the Boat Regatta, cardboard boat races on Saturday, May 17, at Old Settlers Park.

Make a life-sized boat out of cardboard and tape! That's right. Get your friends together and jump aboard on your masterpiece and race across Old Settlers Lake.

Youth and adult teams will compete separately. Youth ages 8-14 are free. Adult teams with participants ages 15 and up are $20 for Class I and II boats and $25 for Class III boats. All entries and fees are due by May 10.

Spectator admission is free.

Race Day Schedule

  • 9 a.m. - Pits Open
  • 11 a.m. - Kite demonstration by the Cloud Chasers
  • Noon - races begin
  • 7:30 pm Concert from Williamson County Symphony Orchestra
