The City of Round Rock Concert Series swing on July 13 with free live music from the Texas Gypsies at the Round Rock Amphitheater, 301 W Bagdad at 7 pm. Bring a blanket, lawn chair and your friends and come enjoy the rare sounds of the Texas Gypsies' acoustic swing- Texas style.
"The Texas Gypsies" include experienced professional musicians including a Grammy
winner and sidemen for many famous recording artists. This band represents a love for a music that is "Pop music, Swing or Hot Jazz, from the 30's and 40's" along with a Southern Western Swing influence to create its own unique sound. The Texas Gypsies describe their music as an upbeat, singable or danceable sound that turns people's heads.
The goal of the Summer Concerts is to highlight up and coming artists from the local music scene. Past artists in the series include Los Lonely Boys, WideAwake, the Jon Barry Project, Aaron Watson, Rick Trevino, and Guy Forsyth. Concerts take place at the Round Rock Ampitheatre, located at 301 W. Bagdad Ave., behind the Allen R Baca Center from 7 to 9 p.m.
Admission to the Concerts is free and free parking is available in the Baca Center parking garage. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Coolers are allowed, but no glass. Pets must be on leashes.
