REI in Round Rock hosts a Paddling in Texas class from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.

This paddling clinic will reveal some local destinations, including some of the best Texas lakes, rivers, and whitewater adventures. For those ready to take the plunge on a weekend trip or longer, we'll also discuss paddling in Big Bend and other more distant adventures. We'll share pictures from trips, maps of routes, and general pointers about gear, permits, etc.
