Run Start
Near the Rabb Pavillion Park area which is in Old Settlers Park. All participants will run to a transition area near the Dell Diamond on a trail/pathway leading to the transition. Volunteers will be on the course to assist with directions, cheering etc. This is a fairly flat course.
*there will be a walking path marked for parents/spectators to walk and watch their youth out on the course.
Transitions
What does this mean? Participants will have an area for their bike/gear equipment. This area will be closed to spectators & parents once the transition area closes There will be volunteers monitoring and available for the youth should they need assistance. However, try to help your child have a better race day by preparing them on how to strap helmet, get shoes on etc. (we also offer a camp to help prepare the youth to a better race day and each event in the series builds to the next). There will be a water stop near the transition area as well.
Bike
Each participant will bike on closed roads/lanes through the Round Rock Express Baseball Complex (entrance to RR Express lots will be closed to traffic) There will be volunteers throughout the course to assist with any directions, turns etc. The route is fairly flat and is part of the upcoming race course for the triathlons. This bike course will help the youth practice for their next race as well. Depending on the distance and race, participants will either do 1 or 2 loops and go back to transitioin area to put bike up and run out to run course to finish. Parents and spectators will not be allowed to assist on the course. Only desiginated race volunteers can assist.
Parents can walk along the outskirts of the bike course and still be able to see and cheer their youths on out on the course.
The lots will be wide open with no cars in the view of watching across the lots. This is a flat wide open area.
Run to finish
The run course will travel through part of the park's trail/path area to the finish line. There will be volunteers along the run course to assist on where to go, but will also be marked.
