Round Rock hosts Texas Tree Conference

The International Society of Arboriculture Texas Chapter Annual Conference will be held at the Round Rock Marriott on October 4-6, 2006. The conference this year will be two complete days of presentations. It will feature "What Works In Texas - The Voices of Experience"

Conference Details: On Wednesday, October 4, the conference will kick off with two workshops. The first is a ”Firewise” workshop. During this period of high temperatures and extreme drought, learn how to incorporate fire-resistant management practices into your business.

The second pre-conference workshop, "Texas Tree Ordinances - What Works and What Doesn't" is for those involved with tree protection ordinances. Arborists and foresters from diverse Texas cities will present stories of success and challenges in regard to ordinances and discuss realistic issues surrounding urban tree preservation. The workshop will be held on Wednesday the 4th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on the first floor of the McConico building, located at 301 West Bagdad, Round Rock, TX 78664.
