Into Temptation is the title of the 18th annual Mystery Night Performance brought to you by the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library. Ralph McGarity runs a bar called Temptation with the help of an opinionated barmaid named Mary Ellen. Business isn't exactly dead but when it becomes murder, it's time to ask questions.
Performance dates are March 28, and 29, April 4 and 5. Saturday performances are at 7 p.m. Sunday performances are at 2:30 p.m. All performances are at the Round Rock Public Library, meeting room C. Doors open half an hour before show time.
Tickets for Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 and April 5, are $15 and include bar snacks and dessert. Saturday, April 4 is Gala Night, and tickets are $25, including a meal. Tickets go on sale at the Round Rock Public Library on Sunday, March 1.
This is the 18th Mystery Night production benefiting the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library. All except for the first are original works specifically written for Mystery Night. Twelve Mystery Night plays have been written by Barbara Stopp Vance and this is the fourth one by Chip Hadley, both library employees.
Mystery Night is a three act audience participation experience in which audience members unravel a mystery. Before the play begins and between acts the audience is encouraged to interact with the cast. Before the third act reveals “who dunnit,” audience members submit their answers and the person or team with the best answer wins.
