It’s time to clean the clutter from around the house and dispose of those hazardous chemicals properly! Spring Cleanup Week kicks off with bulk trash pickup the week of Monday, April 11, through Friday, April 15.
Residents may place large, bulky items out with their normal trash on regularly scheduled pickup days. Bulky items include scrap metal, lumber, furniture, mattresses and appliances that do not contain Freon.
All materials should be placed neatly at the curb. There will be quantity restrictions. Call Round Rock Refuse at 255-4980 for details.
Items that should not be placed by the curb include televisions, computers, FREON appliances, automotive products or household chemicals. For recyclable options for these materials go to round-rocktexas.gov/recycle.
Please note that tree limbs and/or brush piles will not be picked up.
Tree trimmings should be taken to the Recycling Center. There is no fee for Round Rock residents (with water bill and drivers license) with less than two cubic yards. Fees apply to larger loads and all non-residents. The Brush Recycling Center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 218-5540.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection
The City of Round Rock will wrap up Spring Clean-Up Week by having a Household Hazardous Waste Collection from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 16, at the Recycling Center, 310 Deepwood Drive.
City of Round Rock residents can bring their left over paint, pesticides, fertilizers, stain and home chemicals.
Please bring a current water bill for proof of residency (a driver’s license with Round Rock address does not indicate if you live within the City limits). Only residential waste in quantities of 25 gallons or less will be accepted. Contractor/business waste will not be accepted.
Be responsible for your waste. Recycle it and make a difference.
