Williamson County Master Gardener’s Spring Garden Fair

Cost: Free

The Williamson County Master Gardener’s Spring Garden Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the AgriLife Extension Grounds in Georgetown.

The free event will feature expert presentations on gardening, hands-on activities for children, including a “Chickens in the Garden” station with live chickens, books, garden items, plants (primarily native perennials) and food for purchase.

In addition, the fair will offer demonstration stations providing step-by-step instruction on how to propagate a rose, create compost, develop rainwater harvesting, enhance your garden with herbs and vegetables, and much more! 

  • This year’s speakers are:  
    9 a.m. -- Jason Sanders, M.Ag.Ed, The Value of Composting
    10:15 a.m. -- Emsud Horozovic, Causes of Tree Stress 
    11:30 a.m. -- Ken Lakin, PhD., Entomology, The Good Guys In Your Yard     
    1 p.m. -- Flo Oxley, Native Plant Identification, The importance of using native
                        plants in your home landscape
