Austin Civic Orchestra: Out of this World Concert

The Austin Civic Orchestra presents "Out of this World," a concert featuring music by Richard Wagner and Gustav Holst, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Alma Thomas Theater at Southwestern University, Georgetown.

The orchestra will perform the Flying Dutchman Overture by Wagner and the The Planets by Gustav Holst.

The evening begins with a talk by Southwestern Music Director Lois Ferrari and Associate Professor of Physics Mark Bottorf. The Williamson County Astronomy Club will set up telescopes for audience members to use after the concert.

Cost is $12. Southwestern University students, faculty and staff get in free with their ID.
