

The Research and Planning Unit is responsible for preparing and monitoring the department’s budget; conducting the goals, objectives, and performance measurement/improvement program of the Department and coordinating strategic planning accordingly. The Unit is also responsible for providing efficacy studies and cost analysis of existing operations and proposed programs for management review. The Unit researches and develops policies and procedures that further the mission of the department, as well as updating the Policy Manual accordingly; conducts purchasing and contracts review for budget purposes; and evaluates the impacts of community growth and development on the department through citizen surveys and statistical research.
