This project creates an alternative transportation opportunity by extending Round Rock's current trail system and providing connectivity from the east side of Round Rock to downtown.  The project expands the Williamson County Long-Range Brushy Creek Regional Trail Vision to connect Hutto to Lake Travis; and it is also identified as a high priority in the Citywide Trail Master Plan.  The route connects the existing Brushy Creek East Trail, running west from Forest Bluff subdivision, to Sonoma subdivision, at A.W. Grimes Blvd.
