2010 Local Legend Awards

Nominations for the Local Legend Award are due August 3, 2010    
Anyone can nominate an individual or group for the award, which honors citizens who have had a positive and lasting impact on the culture, development, and history of our community. Please see nomination instructions below.

About the Local Legend Awards
The Local Legend Award recognizes Round Rock citizens that have had a positive and lasting impact on the culture, development, and history of Round Rock.  Honorees have included both individuals and groups that have played an important, if not always prominent, role in the history of Round Rock.  Each year winners receive a certificate and are honored by the City Council. 

Local Legends are selected based on the following criteria:

• Importance to the City's founding or growth,
• Association with an historic place or event,
• Legacy of service to the community, and/or
• Personal achievements that have brought honor and distiction to the nominee and the City of Round Rock.

Nominations
Selections are made in midsummer, but nominations for future awards are accepted year-round. Nominations for the 2010 awards are due by August 3. If you would like to nominate someone to be honored as a Local Legend, please complete an nomination form and send to:

Selection Committee
