Happy anniversary to the Literacy Council of Williamson County!

literacy_council_williamson_county_logoHappy Anniversary to the Literacy Council of Williamson County!

LCWC was incorporated and began operations in 1985 at the Round Rock Public Library where volunteers became aware of the need to provide English literacy instruction to adults. A handful of volunteer tutors served 19 adults the first year. Today, the Literacy Council serves more than 1,200 adults with the assistance of 80 to 100 volunteers.

The LCWC classroom is located on the 2nd floor of the Library and will expand programming this Fall with new classes.

Check the calendar for dates and times. For more information about the LCWC, call (512) 869-0497 or go to their website.
