Power Up at Your Library Day - City of Round Rock

Power Up at Your Library Day

The Round Rock Public Library will join libraries across the state to celebrate Power Up at Your Library Day event, Thursday, Sept. 15. It’s all part of the Texas Library Association’s “Ideas Powered: It’s What We Do” campaign, which seeks to broaden the awareness of innovative library services to the public.

“We want to let everyone in the community know about the powerful resources available for them at the library,” said Michelle Cervantes, Library Director. “Learn to sew, build a robot, start a business…libraries lead the way to innovation!”

Events scheduled for Power Up at Your Library Day include:

  • Two sessions of the Library’s Tween Maker Club, where kids from ages 8 to 12 can explore LEGO® WeDo robotic kits
  • Tours of the Library, featuring our collections and services for all, at 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
