Golf clubs? Check. Adventures with the grandkids? Check. Perfect place to call home? Double check!

Maybe it’s our hometown vibe or our low crime rate combined with affordable living and high quality of life. Or could it be our small-town downtown where the folks are friendly, the live music tickles your ears just right and the eats are oh so delicious? Whatever it is, we’ve got it right here in Round Rock and, according to Bankrate, the retirees are uncovering it!

Their recent article ranks Round Rock No. 12 on a list of the “Best and Worst Cities for Your Retirement.” Additional Texas pitstops included are Austin (16), Irving (52), Plano (59), Sugar Land (68), Denton (82), Dallas (83), The Woodlands (88), and Conroe (99) among others.

The analysis focused on nearly 200 cities across the United States and took into account everything from cost of living to walkability, taxes, weather, crime and culture.
