A playscape that all can enjoy
In early 2008, a group of citizens approached the City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department staff with an idea for a park that would be accommodating to ALL residents of Round Rock. Since that initial idea, park development staff has worked with concerned citizens, and experts in the fields of autism and mental and physical impairment.
The project is being led by a committee of dedicated members of the Williamson County Community and the City of Round Rock. The committee has set up a 501 (c)(3) non-profit foundation and is asking for help raising funds to help build the park.
Our Goal
To raise funds to build a park with a large playscape and several multi-sensory play areas that all children and their parents can use.
Why
The Play for All Abilities Park is an exciting opportunity to provide a safe, fun place for children and their families to play regardless of ability.
Where
Located at Rabb Park, off of HWY 79 and A.W. Grimes Blvd. The site is heavily shaded and tucked away from busy streets. The Brushy Creek Regional Trail will be accessible from the park (2010 construction.) The trail will connect Redbud Lane/CR122 to A.W. Grimes Blvd. and connects into the Greater Lake Creek Trail System.
