The Affordable Care Act includes a number of options in healthcare coverage. There are a wide variety of resources available online that provide information about these options, and how to choose what is best for you.
The library cannot provide recommendations on care choices for individuals but we hope to make available the necessary information for our library users to make informed decisions that best suit their needs.

You can enroll in Marketplace health coverage through August 15 due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) emergency. More people than ever before qualify for help paying for health coverage, even those who weren’t eligible in the past. Learn more about new, lower costs.
The Health Insurance Marketplace will offer a new way for people without insurance to get coverage and to find out if they can get lower costs for private insurance. They can also find out if they qualify for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
People who do not have health coverage may have to pay a fee.
A service of the Texas Department of Insurance, Texas Health Options helps consumers enroll in health plans and answers questions about insurance rights for individuals and small businesses.
Texas Department of Insurance Resources for ACA contains some basic resources for people and employers about the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
