Summer Swim Lessons Session 2

We are now registering for Swim Lessons Session 2 that runs Mon through Thurs from June 22 – July 2 for all ages, infant to adult.  We have taken extra precautions due to COVID and they are posted at www.roundrocktexas.gov/swimlessons

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department offers swim lessons year round. In the summer, classes are offered at Lake Creek Municipal Pool. In the fall and winter, classes are offered at the
Clay Madsen Recreation Center pool.

We proudly use the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program and offer classes Private Lessons and Group Classes in Level 1 to Level 5. In addition, we offer classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and adults. Each participant should come in a suit ready to swim. Infant and Toddler classes run 25 minutes. All other classes run for 40 minutes, unless noted.

CANCELED July 4th Community Spirit Neighborhood Parades

With the continued focus on the numbers count of COVID-19 in Central Texas and for the safety of all of our residents, the July 4th Community Spirit Neighborhood Parades have been canceled. Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities reopening Monday, June 15

Welcome back Baca Center Family! The Allen R. Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities reopening Monday, June 15 with limited services and reservations will be required. Weight Room, Billiards Room, Library, Group Exercise Classes and more will be offered with modifications. Reservations can be made by calling the center at 512-218-5499 during facility hours. Play for All Park to reopen this Friday, June 12

Play for All Park to reopen THIS FRIDAY, June 12 with new health protocols and sanitation efforts. We are excited to welcome you back to YOUR nationally award-winning park. As a reminder, please maintain appropriate physical distance of six feet or more, feel free to wear a mask, bring hand sanitizer and follow all CDC recommendations. Rock’N River Season Pass Party

National Trails Day 2020

Join YOUR Parks and Rec Department for National Trails Day on Sat., June 6 from 7:30am to 9:30am off the trail system near the Rabb House (151 N A.E. Grimes Blvd.) and Freeman Park trailhead (301 Forest Ridge Drive). There will be a FREE morning yoga class under the trees near the Rabb house, FREE National Trails Day T-shirts and snacks and water. Rock’N River Water Park opens

Rock’N River Water Park will be reopening Saturday, May 30. Operating hours will be from noon to 7 p.m. Closed on Wednesdays.

Rental reservations for Rock’N River will open online on Tuesday, May 26 for cabanas, pergolas, bungalows, umbrellas and birthday parties. Go to www.roundrocktexas.gov/river. 

The facility will open at limited capacity to allow for physical distancing in the water and on the deck. All guests should be aware of their proximity to others during their visit. Pool teams will be enacting increased sanitation protocols throughout the facilities, and high touch point areas will be disinfected regularly.  

All pool rules remain in place, with the following health and safety protocols recommended:

  • Maintain appropriate physical distance of six feet or more between yourself and others you do not live with while in the pool and on the pool deck.
  • Stay home if you are sick or not feeling well.
  • Wash your hands frequently and for 20 seconds.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes.
  • Respect any posted capacity limits.  The number of people in pool / deck areas may be limited.
  • Those wearing face coverings are advised to not wear them in the water. Cloth face coverings can be difficult to breathe through when they’re wet.
  • Face masks are not required by law, but are encouraged when outside of the water, where feasible.
  • Maintain appropriate social distance from those you do not live with while in the pool, on the pool deck, or in queue lines.
  • Deck chairs will be limited.  Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets and find a space on the lawn at appropriate social distance from those you do not live with.
  • Shower and changing areas will be limited. Please arrive dressed for your pool activities, and it is recommended to change and shower at home.
  • Be conscious of social distancing and refrain from close contact with lifeguards and pool support team members.
  • Children under 12 should be actively supervised by a responsible adult. Children 6 and under must be within arms reach of a parent/guardian at all times.

Micki Krebsbach Pool opens

Micki Krebsbach Pool will be reopening on Saturday, May 23. Operating hours will be from 1-7pm. Closed on Tuesdays.

Reservations for Micki Krebsbach Pool picnic tables can be made via phone starting on May 26 by calling 512-218-5540.
