Teen Advisory Board


TAB (Teen Advisory Board) is a group of teens ages 13-18, who meet once a month to help Teen Librarian, Miss Jane, plan teen activities/programs, select new materials, promote teen library events, and volunteer at library programs/outreach events.

To join TAB you need to:

  • Commit to attending a meeting once a month
  • Volunteer at least 3 times during the year at either a children’s/teen or family program, which may include set up and take down
  • Fill out an application form –when positions become available we will make the application available here.

We will meet in the teen room the last Tuesday of every month, 6:30-7:30 pm on the following dates:

February 26
March 26
April 30
May 28
August 27
September 24
October 22
November 26
December TBA

Dates are subject to change so always check the calendar.

New members will need to attend a short Orientation with Miss Jane or one of the other TAB members at the beginning of their first meeting. You will have a tour of the library and be shown how to record your volunteer hours. YES you will get community service hours and recognition from us for your hours volunteered!
