Sensory Storytime

Small-group storytime addressing sensory challenges

What is Sensory Storytime?
Sensory Storytime is designed to engage kids through movement, music, preschool stories and sensory activity play.  This program is ideal for children with sensory integration challenges, difficulty sitting still, difficulty in large groups, or children who have autism spectrum disorders.

Sensory Storytime will be approximately 30 minutes and will be held in the Library’s meeting room the last Sunday of every month—please check our calendar.

Who can attend?
Sensory Storytime is open to all children up to age 7 with an accompanying parent/guardian. This storytime is not appropriate for schools, daycares, or large groups. A small group is part of what makes Sensory Storytime effective and engaging for the children participating. Attendance is limited to 12 families, and pre-registration is required.
