JAY SHALÉ / DJ SHALÉ
Born in Regensburg, Germany, self-taught DJ Shalé has started to make her mark in the DJ world. Looking to get radio play for her own music exposed her to DJing in 2016, she fell in love with the craft and hasn’t looked back! Viewing music as a form of therapy, her passion, energy and pure LOVE for music has captured the hearts of thousands around the world.
DJ Shalé is known for her spunky and fun DJ throwback mixes, and millions of views later, she’s opened for Jazzy Jeff, is the official Atlanta Falcons Game Day In-Game DJ and has toured solo in New Zealand, Belize, Nigeria, and Monaco, just to name a few!
Considering his roots and upbringing, it is no wonder that Eric Bellinger has become an R&B sensation. An LA native and grandson of Jackson 5 hit songwriter, Bobby Day, Bellinger has been engulfed with music his entire life. His love for music drove his decision to turn down a football scholarship at USC to pursue his real passion.
Bellinger began his musical journey recording and touring with the R&B group, AKNU (A Kind Never Understood) and soon signed to Epic Records by legendary executives, Max Gousse and Tommy Motola. His natural talent for songwriting became apparent and he returned home to hone his abilities under the guidance of his childhood friend and mentor, Erika Nuri of “The Writing Camp.”
After signing a publishing deal with Sony ATV, Bellinger hit the ground sprinting with stellar contributions to major R&B and pop artists such as Chris Brown (“Fine China,” “Love More” featuring Nicki Minaj), Usher (“Let Me See” featuring Rick Ross), Selena Gomez (“Intuition”) and Justin Bieber (“Right Here” featuring Drake) to name a few.
Bellinger’s music continues to gain prestige through illustrious awards from ASCAP (“Lemme See”), BMI (“Lemme See”), iTunes (“Lemme See” 2012 Song of the Year) and the coveted Grammy’s (for multiple contributions to Chris Brown’s ‘Fame’ album, voted “Best R&B Album” in 2012).
In the midst of writing smash hits for other artists, Bellinger continued to create exciting music for his loyal fans, releasing multiple mixtapes; ‘Born to Sing Vol 1-3’ (Which reached #3 on iTunes) ‘The ReBirth’ (A 32 track Double Disc) ‘Choose Up Season’ (The prelude/setup) for ‘Cuffing Season parts 1 & 2’ & most recently ‘Eventually’ (12 original songs with no features)
Bellinger is set to release his upcoming album titled Eazy Call at the top of the year. Eazy Call has several new surprises for his Eazy fanbase and is guaranteed to excite the market! Eric is also conducting a Malibu Nights tour, focusing on pushing his “Eric B. for President” 4 part series. It includes 2 eight track EP’s, Term 1 & Term 2 (available in acoustic versions). Make sure to grab your tickets for Bellinger’s show coming to a city near you! And while you’re at it, make sure you grab some Malibu Nights merch so you can rock to Eric’s next show!
Montell Jordan is a Grammy-nominated and Grammy award-winning recording artists. The second R&B artist to sign with Def Jam Recordings, Montell Jordan yielded one of 1995’s biggest hits with his debut single, “This Is How We Do It.” The L.A. native had begun singing in talent shows and church choirs as a boy, eventually graduating to nightclubs while pursuing an education at Pepperdine University. Following his college graduation, Jordan spent seven years looking for a record deal, which he finally secured after meeting Paul Stewart, the president of PMP Records. Jordan and Stewart flew to New York, where Jordan sang for Russell Simmons and was promptly signed to a contract
For his debut album, Jordan heavily sampled the music of B.B. King (the first artist to do so) and channeled a positive outlook of South Central L.A. in his lyrics, attempting to balance the negativity emanating from most SoCal gangsta rap. Jordan was rewarded with a massive number one smash, the party anthem “This Is How We Do It,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks and sold over one million copies. The accompanying album went platinum as a result.

The History of Juneteenth
Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the emancipation of slavery in the state of Texas. Historically, the celebration falls on June 19th and commemorates the day in 1865 that Texans were told by Union troops that the Civil War had ended and that all slaves were now freed. Though the Emancipation Proclamation became official on January 1, 1863, there was impact on the lives of Texans until 1865.
