A family-centered event, it encourages active participation for children with various disabilities or limitations. Trick or Treat from car to car, trunk to trunk. Costumes encouraged. Bring your trick or treat bags.

Trunk or Treat is a new spin on Trick or Treating where local businesses and organizations bring a vehicle, decorate its trunk/tailgate and pass out candy as kids “Trunk or Treat” from car to car.  Trunk or treating allows kids to have all the trick or treating fun without crossing streets or worrying about traffic.  It’s also a great accessibility benefit for those individuals with various disabilities or limitations.

We would like to extend the opportunity to you and your business to participate in this fun event!

Participation is free!  We are asking local businesses, clubs/organizations and families to provide a vehicle trunk/tailgate decorated in a family friendly Halloween/Fall theme, pass out candy/prizes at your trunk and provide enough candy/trinkets/prizes for 400+ trick or treaters. You are welcome, but not required, to promote your business at this event by use of a company vehicle for your “Trunk” as well as hand out goodies promoting your business.

A complete Trunk or Treat registration form is required to participate in this event.

This event is focused on participants and families with special needs.
We require all candy to be store bought (no home-made treats), individually wrapped and peanut free.
Be thoughtful in your purchase of goodies and possibly include things that are gluten free and or non-edible treats such as pencils, stickers, stress balls, etc. When choosing decorations for your trunk, we ask that you be aware and considerate of over-stimulating features such as fog machines, loud music and strobe lights.

These types of decorations will not be allowed to ensure enjoyment of all of our attendees. We also ask that any balloon decorations be latex free.

Registered and approved trunks may begin set up at the Seton Williamson parking lot by 4:00 pm. All trunks must be checked in and completely set up by 5:00 pm.  All Trunks must stay thru the duration of event. For safety purposes, vehicles will not be permitted to leave or move until the event is over. There will be no electrical support for vehicle decorations. You are responsible for the set up and cleanup of your trunk location. Costumes are encouraged for the staff at each trunk.
