This 10 week program was designed to engage and educate residents on the operations of the City. UniverCity participants get to experience firsthand the work it takes to run a city department. Each City department hosts a presentation, tour or break out session each week, and provide valuable information about day to day operations of the City and future projects. Residents will receive an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look into City operations within each of its departments.
Previous program attendees have reported:
“From tours, to virtual reality, and on-site expeditions in the middle of the night with the police department, it was just amazing. You end up so inspired about what the city is doing now and in the future. It just makes you proud to be a member of the Round Rock community.” – Richard Parson, President of the Kensington Neighborhood Association
“What I discovered is the city puts a great deal of thought into what is new in community development and what the city needs to better improve the quality of life for residents. The more individuals understand the processes the city goes through and citizens become more aware of what things are done and services the city provides, the more info they can obtain and share with the public and have a better overall community as a result of it.” – Shirley Marquardt, who writes the Behren’s Ranch neighborhood newsletter and is President of Round Rock Preservation group
