The City of Round Rock is committed to streamlining and consolidating the development review process. We pride ourselves on ensuring your project is handled in a professional, timely, consistent, and accurate manner. Our goal is to build a partnership with you and your consultants. We want your project to succeed and we’ll do our very best to ensure that happens within the confines of adopted rules and regulations. We are not saying that issues won’t arise, but when they do, we will collaborate with you to come up with workable solutions.

Target: city staff strives to issue 80% of permits within two or fewer review cycles (and one abbreviated review, or ASAP) by providing clear comments and guidance to applicants. Since the submittal/review process involves the city and the applicant, city staff do not have full control of this performance metric.

Site/subdivision review turnaround target: 100% of reviews completed within the established review cycle period. Since this metric measures staff’s ability to review site development and subdivision improvement applications on-time, the city has full control of this metric.

*As of December 2023, full cycle submittals of SDP and SIP applications are reviewed on a 20-business day timeframe. Preliminary SDPs are reviewed on a 15-business day timeline.
