The Round Rock Public Library and Austin SCORE will be offering a series of free Zoom workshops for entrepreneurs and small business owners on Fridays from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Sept. 24 through Oct. 29. SCORE is a nonprofit dedicated to helping small businesses and entrepreneurs start, develop and maintain their businesses.
These free timely workshops, presented by recognized experts and practitioners, will cover a variety of issues facing small business owners and entrepreneurs including finances, marketing, and strategic planning.
Join us on Oct. 8 for Understand Your Business Financial Reports, presented by Lisa Bargsley, CPA, MBA. Financial statements can be overwhelming sometimes. But if you think of them as pictures revealing the story of your financial decisions, the story becomes fascinating and not just about numbers. Knowing and staying up-to-date on this information is critical for business planning and for measuring your success. This interactive class will show you how to read and understand the story by helping you to:
• Understand the accounting equation
• Become familiar with accounting terminology
• Understand the differences and relationships of a balance sheet, a profit and loss statement, and a cash flow statement
• Tell the story and realize that there might be more to it than just the numbers!
