Join us Friday, March 5, from noon to 1:30 p.m. for GIS 101 and Using GIS Data in Decision-Making, presented by Nathan Smith. Hundreds of thousands of businesses in all walks of life use Geographic Information System (GIS) data. With GIS, they can build maps that communicate, analyze data, share information, and solve complex problems around the world. By applying geographic science and data tools, GIS technology derives actionable intelligence from all types of data.

The City of Round Rock’s Geospatial Services Division assists City departments to create, store, display, and analyze data—parcels, zoning, streets, utilities, etc.—for critical decision-making. This session will cover real-life scenarios applying data layers to help your business select a new site or expand your service area. This session will include a lecture and demos.
