If you’re interested in entering the IT industry, register for this FREE class to learn one of the most demanded skills, SQL language. Familiarity with SQL is required to work with data so if you want to start as a data operator or jump to a software architect position it is the must-have skill.

Join us for this FREE class, Saturdays, Jan. 6 through March 10, from 9-11 a.m., Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room B. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Main Focuses of Class:

1.) SQL knowledge, enough to get certification (not included)

2.) Your own project—web application running database you created

In Addition, You Will Learn:

  • What should I do in IT?—IT industry branches, paths and careers
  • What does it stand for?—Must to hear about tools and techniques in IT
  • Why it does not work?—Bug tracking, testing, root cause analysis
  • How should I start?—resume, job search and interview

Requirements:

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Some math, e.g. know how to solve quadratic equation
  • Notebook and pen/pencil
  • Personal laptop is highly desirable. (Laptops are available for check-out at the Library.)
