Family Campout 2023

The City of Round Rock’s Parks and Recreation Department presents the 12th annual Family Campout on Friday, Sept. 15th through Saturday, Sept. 16th at Old Settlers Park.
Come spend the night in Old Settlers Park! You’ll pop your tent around the Lakeview Pavilion, eat dinner, have fun, play games, sit around the campfire eating s’mores, watch a movie in the park, featuring The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and then off to sleep under the stars. Wake up with the sunrise and enjoy breakfast.

Registration:
Registration – $15 per personÂ
Registration is available IN PERSON ONLY! Online and Phone Registration is CLOSED.
Registration will be available in person at the Parks and Recreation Main Office, 301 W Bagdad Ave. #250, onÂ
- Wednesday, September 13th, from 12:00-5:00pm
- Thursday, September 14th, from 8:00am-5:00pm
Late registration will be available onsite of the event on Friday, September 15th, starting at 3:30pm.Â
Registration for the campout is required. Registration fee will increase to $15 on September 1. Each registered participant will receive two meals (dinner on Friday evening and pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday morning, vegetarian option available upon early request), s’mores and a t-shirt.

Packet Pick Up will be located at the Parks and Recreation Main Office, 301 W Bagdad Ave. #250,Â

- Wednesday, September 13th, from 1:00-5:00pm
- Thursday, September 14th, from 8:00am-5:00pm
If you lose a wristband, there is a $15 replacement fee, no exceptions.Â
We will only be issuing shirt sizes based on what you chose at the time of registration. If you would like to exchange the size, please bring the shirt to the late registration area by the Lakeview Pavilion after 7:00pm on Friday, September 15th. If we have leftover shirts, we will be happy to exchange them. Please do not wear/wash your shirt if you intend on exchanging it.Â
What to Bring:
Participants are responsible providing all of their own camping equipment, as well as setup and take down of tents.
We recommend bringing:
- Tent (participants are responsible for setup & take down of tents)
- Sleeping bags
- Flashlight
- Reusable water bottle (water coolers will be available to fill bottles)
- Insect repellent
- Snacks and drinks (No alcohol or glass containers)
- A chair or blanket for campfire and movie
No pets allowed. No electricity available. No shower facilities. Personal campfires are not allowed.Â

**This event will be held rain or shine unless extremely dangerous conditions exist. No refunds will be given.
Kona Ice will be onsite Friday evening selling shaved ice ($3-$6).
Far Horizon Coffee Co. will be onsite Saturday morning selling coffee ($2-$5.50)
Tent Decorating Contest
There will be a tent decorating contest Friday evening so bring your most creative stuff to ‘spruce’ up your tent. Prizes will be awarded to the most creatively decorated tents (1st-3rd place).

*The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to modify, relocate and/or cancel a special event due to forecasted weather and/or turf conditions that may cause the event site to be unsafe or unsuitable for event activities. Â If a special event is cancelled, a program credit may be given to registered participants at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director. This will be communicated to registered participants via email within one week after the event date
