Black History Month: Remembering Bill Pickett, The Bulldogger

In celebration of Black History Month, the Round Rock Public Library and the Round Rock Black History Organization will host two presentations on the life of Bill Pickett, Taylor’s own Wild West show performer and famed cowboy, Saturday, Feb. 2, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room C. Pickett’s great-nephew Gerald Anderson, executive director, Bill Pickett Educational Foundation, will discuss Pickett’s life and achievements. A light lunch will be served between the two presentations.

The Library will also host an exhibit about Bill Pickett in the gallery area throughout the month of February. Prior to the presentations, the Library will host an art reception, Saturday, Feb. 2, 10 a.m. Light refreshments will be served.
