Rockin’ Kids Club: Meet the author of CASSANDRA AND THE NIGHT SKY
October 2 @ 4:30 pm – 5:15 pm

Meet local author Amy Jackson and learn about kid-friendly astronomy at this very special Rockin’ Kids Club activity.
Ms. Jackson is the author of Cassandra and the Night Sky, which is the picture book featured in RRPL’s One Community Four Books program.
If you’d like to read the book in advance, the library has extra copies to check out, and also a copy at the Children’s Reference Desk (2nd Floor) that you can read in the library.

Ms. Jackson is also an astronomy educator, and the founder of Starry Sky Austin. She hopes to inspire and educate about our big universe, and to keep the night sky visible for everyone through reducing light pollution.

This activity is part of The Moon and Beyond, a series of events in September and October in support of RRPL’s One Community Four Books program. Some attendees will win a free pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses to use for the eclipses visible in Round Rock on Oct. 14, 2023 and April 8, 2024.
Rockin’ Kids Club is a series of Monday afternoon activities designed specially for elementary students and their families.
