WCGS University will be an online Zoom presentation on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, 9:30 am to noon. The presentation is German Genealogy by Alan Rabe. Rabe will discuss German research, including basic approaches, history, immigration, German handwriting, naming issues, Meyer’s Gazeteer, Archion (The Lutheran church book database), translation resources and more. Alan’s paternal line is all German and he has been researching for 50 years. He speaks German, has visited there 3 times and lived there for 2 years.
WCGS meetings and workshops are FREE and open to the public! All interest and experience levels are welcome!
