WCGS University

March 23 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

  • Do you want to get started building your family tree?
  • Need help finding the information and records you need?
  • Or help with internet searching?
  • Or programs?
  • Or anything else genealogical?

The Williamson County Genealogical Society Meeting hosts WCGS University on the last Saturday of each month (with a few exceptions), from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room B. Topics and presenters for these classes vary. We will introduce you to tools and techniques that will help you locate more of the documents and records to solve your genealogical brick walls.

Join us on Saturday, March 23 for Birth Family Genealogical Research for Adoptees and Birth Families Hands-On Workshop by Cynthia E. DeBellis. At this hands-on workshop, we will explore some techniques and tools to determine how the “unknown” relative is possibly related. Bring your laptop and a USB thumb drive (external drive). I will give you copies of Excel workbooks I have developed for analyzing DNA Match downloads from testing companies. If you are an adoptee, bring any documentation you have. Be ready to ask questions and get the help you need to research your unknown relative.
