Round Rock Express celebrate Opening Day after more than 600 day hiatus

Baseball is back in Round Rock! After more than 600 days without Express baseball, we’re excited to welcome America’s pastime back to the Dell Diamond for the 2021 season.

The opening series with Oklahoma City has been dubbed the Red Dirt Rumble, a new rivalry between the Texas and Oklahoma Triple-A West League foes. The series was revealed on Wednesday during a Zoom call with Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan and Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt. The Express thumped OKC, winning five of six games and now sit atop the Triple-A West standings.

The season-opening home stand continues Thursday, May 13, with a six-game series against the Sugar Land Skeeters.
