Gardening in Round Rock

Spring is the season for gardening! Check out this printable list of local shops, groups, and resources to help you get started, find ideas, or take your garden to the next level.

Plant a Seed…Read

One of our featured displays this month on the 3rd floor of the library is gardening themed. Come see what books we have on display today!

Seed Library

Need some seeds? The Seed Library is a collection of open-pollinated and heirloom seeds that are available for Round Rock citizens to take home and plant. Check them out on the 1st floor behind the desk! We also accept seed donations.

Round Rock Seed Savers

Meet fellow gardeners and support the seed library by coming to a meeting of the Seed Savers! These volunteers get together to clean, husk, and sort donated seeds so they can be checked out to patrons. They meet twice a month, on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays. All ages welcome.

Williamson County Master Gardeners

The Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. They hold classes at the library on the first Thursday of every month, have demonstration gardens which are open to the public, and have a help desk for gardening questions.

March 6, 6:30-7:30 p.m.: Master Gardeners’ monthly gardening program at Round Rock Public Library.

March 22, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Master Gardeners’ 17th annual plant sale at Georgetown Community Center—come early for the best selection!

Demonstration Gardens: Located at 3151 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, the Master Gardeners can usually be found tending these gardens on Tuesday and Friday mornings and they are happy to answer any questions.

Help Desk: Got gardening questions? Ask the Master Gardeners’ help desk.
