Round Rock Public Library Sewing Circle

Interested in sewing? Have some sewing projects piling up? Join the Round Rock Public Library’s Sewing Circle, from 9 a.m. to noon, each Monday. Bring your sewing machine, supplies and material. The group meets in the Meeting Room A.

We currently have a Beginner/Intermediate level project. We look forward to sharing ideas and great company!

We also have a group that meets on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m.

The Round Rock Public Library’s Hooked on Knitting and Crocheting group meets every Tuesday, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., Literacy Council Room, 2nd floor of the Library.

The group offers a chance for those who share a passion for knitting and crocheting to get together and swap tips and techniques as well as work on projects.

Bring your own supplies. All skill levels are welcome!

Dia de los Muertos Procession and Festival

Join Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, along with Williamson County Hispanic Heritage CommitteeCity of Round Rock, Round Rock Arts, and Univision for the eighth annual Dia de los Muertos Procession and Festival. Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mesoamerican holiday dedicated to the ancestors; it honors both death and the cycle of life.

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 from 2 to 10 p.m.

WHERE: Centennial Plaza (301 West Bagdad)
*The procession will begin at 5 p.m. and travel from C.D. Fulkes Middle School. The procession will arrive at Centennial Plaza at 5:15 p.m.
 
WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • Traditional Dia de los Muertos procession
  • Art, craft and food vendors
  • Kid-friendly activities

Poetry in Motion: Open Mic Event

Poets (ages 16 to adult) can share their work at our family-friendly poetry event Poetry in Motion, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room A.

Come prepared to read or just to listen to some of our local talent. Hosted by Nadine Flowers and E.B. Staples.
