Round Rock Local Author Fair

The Round Rock Public Library presents a Local Author Fair, from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, Meeting Room C. Come and meet local authors, purchase some books and listen to readings from published works in the Gallery.

More than 30 local authors will be in attendance to sell books, network and perform public readings of their works. The Local Author Fair is sponsored by the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library.

Featured speakers include

Renee Fisher, author and founder of Renee Fisher & Co., a full-service Creative Agency.

Kat Kronenberg, author of Dream Big and soon-to-be-released Love Big.

Donna Marie Miller, editor, photographer and author of The Broken Spoke: Austin’s Legendary Honky-Tonk, published April 22, 2017 by Texas A&M University Press.

In addition to the Adult and YA fair, a Local Children’s Author Event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Round Rock Public Library. Families will have the opportunity to meet local authors and listen to readings. Children will also get to meet Rocksssanne, the library’s pet snake, who celebrates her 22nd birthday on January 20.

Local Children’s Author Storytime

The Round Rock Public Library presents a special story time featuring local children’s authors, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26. Come and meet authors, purchase some books or just listen to readings from published works in Meeting Room A.

Authors include Layla and Mya Parish, Olivia Candela, Alisha Gabriel, Ida Davis, Serena Guin, and Glenda Kyle.

Join us also for the Round Rock Local Author Fair, Saturday, Jan. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m., Meeting Room C, to meet local adult authors.

Friends of the Library’s General Meeting & Literary Locals

Are you looking for a way to support the Round Rock Public Library? Come to the Friends of the Library’s General Meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 13, 6 p.m., Meeting Room C to learn about the many ways our Friends’ group enables the Library to better serve our patrons.

Following the meeting, the Friends present Literary Locals, a book-signing event and panel discussion featuring local authors, moderated by Michael Noll, Program Director, Writers’ League of Texas. Authors include Juli Berwald (SPINELESS: THE SCIENCE OF JELLYFISH AND THE ART OF GROWING A BACKBONE); Donna Janell Bowman (ABRAHAM LINCOLN’S DUELING WORDS); May Cobb (BIG WOODS); and Nicky Drayden (TEMPER).

Books will be available for purchase from BookPeople at the event. Credit card sales only (no cash or checks).

Light refreshments will be provided.
