Kick off the Library’s Summer Reading Program with a free concert!

Summer Reading at Round Rock Public Library is back, and Joe McDermott is helping us celebrate.

All ages are welcome to join for a free concert Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Location/bad weather plan:

  • If weather predictions look safe and pleasant for the time we’ll need to set up, have a concert, and clean up, then the concert will be outdoors in Prete Plaza, which is across Main Street from the Library.
  • If weather predictions look like an outdoor concert might be unsafe or unpleasant, Joe will perform in the Library’s Room C.

There will be two identical performances:

  • 9:30 am; Meeting Room C
  • 10:30 am; Meeting Room C

About Mr. Will:

“Mr. Will” Dupuy taps into the developmental and interactive aspects of fun songs while capturing the rambunctious spirit of his live concerts for the under-seven crowd. His sing-along style incorporates equal parts of teaching and performing for energetic young audiences. Infectious melodies combined with upbeat lyrics make him beloved among pre-schoolers and early-elementary students, who clap, march, jump and dance along to their favorite songs. An in-demand natural showman who plays multiple instruments, Dupuy has a personality as big as his signature upright bass and as bright as his wide smile. The son of a Grammy-nominated opera singer, he has previously worked as a private music instructor and performed with country musicians Bruce Robison, Kelly Willis, Bob Schneider and Jason Boland.
