Adulting 101 For Teens – How to Ace Virtual and In-Person Interviews (ages 13-18)

Are you preparing to interview for a new job, internship, or volunteer opportunity? Join us for a discussion on interview preparation, confidence building and effective communication techniques when interacting with others face-to-face and virtually. We’ll share practical tips to help you build stories to highlight your strengths and create a positive interview experience.
Presenter bio:
Lisa Pierce-Jones is an Assistant Director, Human Resources with the City of Round Rock, who works to attract, engage, and retain the best talent to provide quality service to the citizens of Round Rock. To build a culture of exceptional service for our customers, external and internal, Lisa works with the Human Resources team to promote customer conscious attitudes within the organization by defining clear and understandable standards for employees. Her best work is accomplished when employees collaborate as a team. Lisa has worked with public and private entities in Human Resources and organizational Development for 20 years.
Lisa enjoys playing tennis, reading, and traveling with family and friends.
Adulting 101 programs are designed to help teens develop life skills and knowledge to transition to adulthood.
